Sensex mirrors weak global market, ends flat in volatile trade.
FIIs net sellers Rs 10cr in F&O on Tuesday.
Indian ADRs-Indian ADRs ended mixed on Tuesday. However, gainers outnumbered the losers. In the telecom space, MTNL was up 3.99% at $ 3.91 and Tata Communication was up 1.74% at $ 18.17. In the IT space, Infosys was up 1.14% at $ 35.47, Wipro was up 0.56% at $ 10.72 while Satyam Computers was down 0.31% at $ 3.25 and Patni Computers was down 0.67% at $ 10.35.
In the banking space, ICICI Bank was down 0.67% at $ 28.01 and HDFC Bank was down 3.24% at $ 93.92. In other sectors, Sterlite Industries was up 3.67% at $ 11.86, Dr Reddy’s Labs was up 2.23% at $ 15.58 and Tata Motors was up 0.99% at $ 9.22.

Sensex dips 257 pts on profit-booking
The 30-share index ended 257.31 points, or 1.7% lower, at 14,265.53, while the 50-share index Nifty closed 104.75 points, or 2.4% lower, at 4,251.40. Indices, which have fallen about 8% over the past one week, rose mid-way through the session on news of a decline in inflation, but investors cashed out on the upsides.

Sale of natural gas from the Krishna-Godavari (K-G) basin reserves at $2.34 per million British thermal unit (mBtu) would still allow RIL to make a profit margin of over 60 per cent. While RIL has pegged the cost of production of gas at $0.8945 (Rs 42) per mBtu, the company would be selling the gas to Reliance Natural Resources Ltd (RNRL) at a profit of $1.44 (Rs 68).

Sensex breaches 15K-level, ends flat
The Nifty closed above the 4,500 level once again today due to buying in index lightweights such as Hindustan Unilever, Hindalco, ITC, Reliance Communications, Suzlon and Unitech. The Nifty June futures continued to trade at a premium and shed open interest of 493,000 shares at close compared with the intra-day build-up of 2.89 million shares.
